Vlora-Sazan-Karaburun National Marine Park (Boat Trip)
About This Tour
● Meeting point: Reception of your hotel.
We will start the journey with a transfer to Vlora, the second largest port city in Albania. Upon arrival, we will have the opportunity to admire the city's attractions, such as the Independence Monument, which is located in Flag Square. Nearby stands a monument to Ismail Qemali – the first head of the independent Albanian state.
• Around noon, we will board a ship that will take us on a scenic cruise around the Karaburun Peninsula. It is the largest peninsula in Albania, with an area of 62 km². Karaburun is uninhabited, 16 km long and 3 to 4.5 km wide. Its territory is a nature reserve, and part of the peninsula still remains a military zone. The surrounding waters belong to the Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park.
• During the cruise, we will see the place where the waters of the Ionian and Adriatic Seas meet. We will also visit the famous island of Sazan, which until recently was a military base. The island has a coastline of 15 km, and its western coast is adorned with cliffs dropping to a depth of 40 meters. Sazan is distinguished by its subtropical climate, reminiscent of the climate of North Africa.
• The plan also includes a visit to the pirate cave of Haxhi Aliu and time to relax on the beach, where you can swim in the crystal clear water. After the cruise, we will return to Vlora and from there we will head back to your hotel.

• 07:00–09:30 Hotel pickup and transfer to the international port in Vlora
• 10:00 Departure of the ship from the port in Vlora
• 10:00–11:00 Arrival at the Karaburun Peninsula
• 11:00–13:30 Free time at Zhanpovel beach
• 13:30–14:15 Return to the ship and cruise to the Haxhi Aliu cave
• 14:15–15:00 Passage to Sazan Island
• 15:00–16:30 Optional: tour of the former military base or relaxation on a wild beach
• 16:30–18:00 Return to the port in Vlora
• 18:00–20:00 Transfer to the hotel
Important information:
● Hours may change due to traffic, but the tour plan remains unchanged.
● The cruise route may be changed in case of unfavorable weather conditions. Due to the military status of Sazan Island, in some cases it may not be possible to visit it, and this decision is solely up to the Albanian armed forces.
● Beach time may be shortened in case of a sudden increase in wind.
● Refunds are not given if the route changes due to weather.
● Jumping from the ship is strictly prohibited.

• Swimsuits and towels – possibility of swimming on the Karaburun Peninsula and on Sazan Island
